Latest-Generation AKM Flagship Architecture:-

SMSL has designed the D400 MK2 with AKM’s latest flagship DAC chipset. It consists of the AK4191 digital processing chipset and the AK4499EX analog conversion chipset. By completely separating the digital filtering/processing stage from the digital-to-analog conversion stage, this layout provides a dedicated, interference-free signal path for high-resolution sources. The result is class-leading performance, achieving a staggering THD+N (distortion rate) of just 0.00006% (-124dB unweighted), with a massive dynamic range of 132dB on the balanced XLR output.

Precision Timing With OCXO & CK-04 Clock System:-

Digital timing in the SMSL D400 MK2 is flawlessly managed by a built-in 10MHz OCXO (Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator) specified at an ultra-precise ±5 ppb. The OCXO maintains the crystal at a strictly controlled operating temperature to eliminate frequency variation.
